Fort Mitchell is a fully restored historical site in 
Russell County. 
The Fort Mitchell Visitors Center offers a video and 
a walk-through museum abundant in local history. 
The 1813 Fort and
 Crowell-Whitaker Cabin 
are open for touring. Fort Mitchell is located 
10 miles south of Phenix City, Ala., on Highway 165N. 
The fort is open Friday and Saturday from
 11 a.m to 3 p.m. and 
Sundays from
 12 (noon) to 4 p.m. 
The admission fee for entering the historic site is:
 $6 for adults, $5 for military
 and $4 for students. 
Children under 5 admitted free.

Phenix City hosts the: Bi-City Christmas Parade 
Each year, on the second Saturday in December, Santa gets to come to Phenix City. This year's event promises to be the Best and Biggest parade ever with hundreds of floats from around the region.

Oh Gosh! It is really gonna rain...ALOT
Due to the threat of inclement weather on Saturday, December 8th, we have decided to move Christmas at Moon Lake to Saturday, December 15. The hours will remain the same:  3-9 p.m. EST.      Our vendors are available to come help celebrate Christmas at Moon Lake next weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience  this may cause. Please join us 12-15-18
Join us as the historic Martin-Idle Hour Park becomes a beautiful Christmas carnival! Community vendors, food trucks, amusement rides, a small business expo, pony rides, a petting zoo and free hot chocolate for kids of all ages will be part of the family fun. Enjoy music provided by DJ Smooth-B. Come enjoy the incredible unveiling of our new Christmas lights and watch the lights dance to a choreographed state-of-the-art light show.
The event begins at 3 p.m. EST and concludes at 9 p.m. Admission and parking are FREE, but the carnival rides and food trucks will carry a minimal cost.
